Pregnancy update

Hey guys. Thanks for reading my blog.

Tomorrow I’ll be going into my 25th week of this pregnancy.   It’s been full of highs and lows.  Recently I went to the doctor and she told me I was gaining too much weight. 27 pounds so far. I get it, I totally do. I love  strawberry Fanta or Sunkist, OJ, ice-cream, sugary cereals, Hershey bars, peanut m&ms, etc. Since finding out I was pregnant I have “treated” myself… A lot! Most of you know I’ve been battling my weight for 5 years. I guess I kinda went crazy when those two pink lines appeared. My doctor told me I could only drink water from now on. (sad face) I understand why.  I guess my binge eating days are over.  Laying off all the sugary drinks will drastically help my weight gain. Other than that baby Cali is doing great.  She’s definitely a ninja.  Some nights I wake up at 3am and she is wide awake kicking and moving. I love that feeling.

My other kiddos are so excited. Funny conversation in the car the other day…

Brayden mentioned the baby living in water and he said, “she’s floating in there with her head above the water.” I turned to him and said, “No. The baby is actually in a pouch that is full of liquid. She doesn’t breath air like we do yet.” Ariel said, “She’s a super baby!” Brayden says, “Does she have gills?”

I laughed so hard. This has been so much fun. Everyday Ariel ask if the baby is awake. She’s is going to be such a good second mother. I can’t wait for her to arrive. We are definitely counting down the days.

I love being at home. I’m blessed with a great husband. I love being there for him at any moment. My kids definitely need someone here to set them straight every moment of every day. Some think I’m crazy but the two years I worked I noticed how my kids have changed…for the worse. I have basically had to retrain them. The beginning of summer was hard. It’s getting better. They both are growing up so fast. I’m glad I get to see every moment.

The Southern New Year

If you are in the South you make sure you get you some good ole Greens and Black Eyed Peas.

According to it’s “the first food to be eaten on New Year’s Day for luck and prosperity throughout the year ahead.”

Wikipedia says, “The traditional meal also includes collard, turnip, or mustard greens, and ham. The peas, since they swell when cooked, symbolize prosperity; the greens symbolize money; the pork, because pigs root forward when foraging, represents positive motion.”

Luck, prosperity, and positive motion. Huh? Christians take a hold of this tradition and run with it. “Boy….You better eat you some of that..bring in the big bucks!”

What about God, Christians? What about what The Word says, Christians?

Ephesians 5:6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

According to Wikipedia, Luck or chance is fortune (whether bad or good) which occurs beyond one’s control, without regard to one’s will, intention, or desired result.

How can you as a Christian believe in luck? What does The Word say?

Romans 8:12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Being joint heirs with Christ we have all the promises and blessings. He is our Father…our Daddy. He has adopted us. When we need something, he will provide.

There is no need for luck when our Heavenly Father has already gave us everything. It’s time for us to put away the deceits of the natural world and open up to the Spiritual where everything has been taken care of. Either you are walking in the finished work of Christ or you are not. It’s time for Christian to quit straddling the fence and stand up for the True Word of God and start walking in their positions (Son-Ship) and speaking life and not death into their lives and lives of others.

Traditions of man is the problem. We teach our kids and they teach their kids and so on. When will we stop those generational curses? Teach your children the truth!

Just remember this:

Numbers 6:23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,24The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace

I am blessed!

I am kept!

The LORD shines His face upon me!

The LORD is gracious unto me!

The LORD lifts his countenance upon me!

The LORD gives me peace!

Break your traditions. Eat pizza and know you are favored in the eyes of the LORD! :-)

PS. Do you know when God’s New Year is?

While most believe that the “new year” begins January 1st, this is not when God began the months for the year.

Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. declared that January 1st would mark the beginning of the new year. January was named after Janus, the god of gates and doors in Roman mythology. People prayed to Janus when they wanted something new in their lives (such as resolutions). Janus is normally represented with two faces, one looking to the past and the other looking to the future. The first day of the month of January was sacred to him.

But not to God.

(I will make a new blog post for this topic, you will be amazed.)

Train up a child in the way they should go.

Train up a childThat is a big statement! Are you training your child or are you letting them train themselves?

Have you ever heard the statement, “Don’t let generational curses control you forever.”? Well, if you haven’t, you should know that there are generational curses that go along with a family name. Whether it be hereditary health problems or doing things just because Grandma did them.

If they go against The Word of God, then you have a position in Christ to stop them.

The recent events in this country is a horrible event that satan had full control over. He was in full control over the killer.. It’s sad that innocent children were caught in the midst.

My question is as Christians, how do you prepare your child to be out in the world?

John 17:13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Truth is in His Word. He plainly said that we are IN this world but not OF this world.

In verse 17, sanctify means [37 (hagiázō) means “to make holy, consecrate, sanctify; to dedicate, separate” (Abbott-Smith).]

The only way to be sanctified is to know your position in Christ. Your position is Son ship. You are Gods Son. Every promise and provision he gave in His Word has been freely given to us. Once you get full revelation of this, is when you can grab the realization that YOU ARE sanctified, made holy, separate, consecrated, dedicated IN Christ.

So, my question again, How do we prepare our children to be in this evil world?

Teach them what they have power over. Teach them what God, through Jesus Christ, gave them. Teach them the Word..not your opinion or some books agenda.

I sat my 6 year old down and asked him this question.

“What would you do if someone with a gun came into your school and was shooting?” His immediate response was to step in the flesh and say, “I would get my nun-chucks and get him.” Then I explained to him, “He has a gun and he is shooting far away and you can not get near him or you will be hurt. What would you do?” Yet again, he spoke of getting those sharp metal things to throw at him. It is a “typical” boy response, right?

So, how can I as a Christian parent begin to break those curses that have been over looked? Immediately, I went into asking him about Jesus Christ. He knows that Jesus had Christ (The anointed One) inside him and so do we! So, how do we manifest the peace and joy that has been given to us?

I began to explain to him if something like this ever happened, he is to get in a safe place and pray. Pray to our Father in Heaven, speaking the Word back to him.

Father, I am your Son and Your Word says Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Father, I speak that freedom right now in the name of Jesus. Father, you say I have power over the demons that are in this world. Right now, I bind the evil spirits that are around me. I bind the fear, the deceit, the rebellion and I loose Christ the anointed one to take control. I loose the angels that have been appointed unto me to guard me from evil and minister unto me. I loose the peace, joy, happiness in the Holy Ghost right now in the name of Jesus. Anything evil is not from you Father. They are from satan and satan must get under my feet right now. I am the head and not the tail. I have the power because I have Christ within and greater is He that is inside me than he that is in this world. Thank you Father. In Jesus Name.

Even though he is 6 years old, he understands. Never assume that your child is to young to understand the Kingdom of God. Isn’t this our job as Christian parents? This is something that they will not learn in Sunday school at church. They should but they don’t. Sure, it is great to learn about Jonah and the whale and father Abraham but what about being co-heirs with Christ, Christ descended to the lower parts of the earth to take the keys to death, hell, and the grave and the Tabernacle being a type of Jesus Christ. Those things actually teach us how to be more like Jesus Christ. He is our example and how can we be like him if we don’t know who abides inside us.

Did you know when the world is falling apart around you there is a secret place you can go to and have the peace of God?

Psalm 91:1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

The question now is Have you received it? Do you believe it? Do you “know that you know” that you are taken care of..even in the worst of situations? If you have doubt, so will your children.

Proverbs 22:6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6:4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition (Counsel) of the Lord.

Perseverance through this.

steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

Matthew 10:22 and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Romans 5:3-4 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,

Galatians 6:9And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Philippians 1:6And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 4:16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

James 5:11Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

2 Peter 1:5-7 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

Revelation 2:2 “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

Psalms 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Colossians 1:11-12 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

1 Thessalonians 1:3 We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 6:11-15 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.   For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.” And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

1 Timothy 6:11-12 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Battles are fought in our minds every day. When we begin to feel the battle is just too difficult and want to give up, we must choose to resist negative thoughts and be determined to rise above our problems. We must decide that we’re not going to quit. When we’re bombarded with doubts and fears, we must take a stand and say: “I’ll never give up! God’s on my side. He loves me, and He’s helping me! I’m going to make it!- Joyce Meyer

Update on Brayden:

Update:: Dr. Kim which is Braydens surgeon came in this morning. He says that there is an abscess about the size of an orange near that left lung that is probably causing the fevers. It is also causing that lung to be pressed down. He said that needs to be drained. It will not be a big drain like last time and Brayden will not go into the operating room to have it done. He will be sedated in radiology and with ultrasound the small drain will be placed. It will stay in for 2-3 days. But, this was probably the culprit for the fevers.. We had a sick little boy on our hands and he is so strong we didn’t even realize it. Other than that you would think he is normal boy..jumping, playing, talking up a storm. But, when those fevers come you can tell something isn’t right. So that concludes my update…I think we should at least get a free t-shirt from this place. 20 days and counting…

We are persevering!

Update on Brayden

Brayden has been a real trooper through this whole experience. He has been stuck more times in the last 3 weeks than I have my whole life.He is the strongest kid I know. Every day seems to get better and better physical wise with him but mentally he is fed up with this place.

One thing I have learned is if you want to get something done…Got to the right place to begin with. This hospital has been awesome through this whole ordeal. The nurses are angels..really. They deal with so much stuff up here it is unreal. Every time they enter into a room, they have a huge smile on there face. It really takes a special person to work with children. Last night as I laid in bed with Brayden, I listen to babies cry. It really softens my heart. The nurses can only do so much. Where are their Mommies at?! When the nurse came in to give Brayden is I.V medicine I say, “Poor Babies…crying.” She says, “I’m sorry about that.” As if it was her baby crying and she has to let it cry because she has work to do. Once she finishes her round she will go back to that baby and rock it back to sleep. A pediatric nurses job is never over. Will that baby ever know who was really there for it when it cried at it’s darkest time? Probably not.

Being up here really makes me want to do something. Become a volunteer, makes stuff and bring to the kids, Something! We have been here one week today and I have seen some pretty profound things. I want to be a part of this.

This Mothers Day was by far the best mothers day a Mom could ask for.

My Father in Heaven is in control and He is for us so nothing can be against us. We know the Will of the Father is not this sickness and disease. We know all this comes from satan. We know who we are and we know how to speak against these things that comes against us. When you set out to follow Christ the enemy will do everything possible to not allow that. It is up to your freewill to keep in the direction of the Light or step off into the dark road. We have and always will choose Light.

“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower.

Just like I told my best friend today on her blog..”ALL things work out for good to those who trust in the Lord. That’s my rock. Without that rock, I’d just be sinking in the mud.”

Great is thy faithfulness!!

Here is a few pictures of a Typical Day with Brayden…
