Do you wear your armor constantly?

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole amour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Armor_of_God_Encircled God does not need you to defeat the devil today. Christ has already done it and given you the victory. (Colossians 2:15, Romans 8:37) Your part is to enforce the victory by simply standing your ground, which is victorious ground. In other words, you “fight” from victorious ground by standing. You don’t fight for victory. The victory is won!

In Ephesians 6:10–18, the passage on spiritual warfare, the word “wrestle” appears only once (verse 12), while the word “stand” appears four times — “stand against the wiles of the devil”, “withstand in the evil day”, “having done all, to stand”, “Stand therefore”. (Verses 11, 13–14) Four times the Holy Spirit tells us to stand. Yet, many Christians are focusing on wrestling their way to victory!

You are already on victorious ground. You already have everything in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:21, 23) You are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3). The devil knows this. And that is why his tactic is to deceive you and make you think that you don’t have the victory.

So, when he attacks you by saying, “Look at that small amount in your bank account! How are you going to pay the bills?” stand your ground. Declare, “I am rich. In Christ, I am rich!” It doesn’t matter how much you have in the bank. You are rich because you are in Christ. And as the need arises, the supply will be there if you believe that you are already rich.

It is the same with healing. The devil will try to attack you with symptoms in your body. He will try to put pain in your body, and make you feel weak here and there, so that you think that you are still sick. He is trying to make you believe that you don’t have your healing. That is the time to be conscious of the finished work and declare, “I am not trying to get healed, I am healed! I am standing on the victorious ground which Christ has given me!

Ephesians 6:

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

In this world there is evil among us everywhere. What good does it do if we take off our armor? We should wear this armor constantly. Renew your mind daily to the Word of God.

Ephesians 4:17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20But ye have not so learned Christ; (In your old man)

21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: (Coming to Jesus, who is the door, and getting “saved”, being raised up in Christ “new man”)

22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

When you were born again, your old man died and you were raised up in Christ. You are a new man, a new creation IN Him.

  1. I simply want to say I am just beginner to weblog and absolutely savored you’re website. Almost certainly I’m likely to bookmark your blog . You surely have very good articles. Bless you for sharing your web-site.

      1. Ohh I understand your previous comment now. No armor is mentioned in Ephesians 6 for our backside. If we are in our position in Christ then we are to discern the evil and be on guard at all times. But, even in the storms he still has our back. My neighbor brought up a good scripture while discussing this.. Ps 23 “Goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life.”

      2. Therefore, if God be for us, who can be against us. So we should never be retreating from the enemy. As Charles Studd would say, “Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell”
