1 Peter 2:24 24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree”
The “who” here is Jesus.
“that we, being dead to sins”
Do you know your position as a Son of God? Romans 8:14
Do you know who came to take away the sins of this world? 1 John 3:5
Stop being sin-conscience! The sin has already been dealt with. If you have received Christ then your old man died and you were raised In Christ.
“should live unto righteousness”
You are righteousness because he made you righteousness…You did nothing to deserve it, you are to just receive it and walk in it.
“by whose stripes ye were healed”
WERE healed! You are already healed…receive it. If you don’t understand and receive the first part of this verse “being dead to sin” then you can not receive your healing. All the sin that we could ever encounter in our lifetime has already been dealt with. “Jesus said, “It is finished!”
Do you know your position as a Son of God? Son-ship. We are holy because He is holy. We are righteousness because He is righteousness. Sanctified, justified, at peace with all things, perfect, etc.
Hebrews 12:14 14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
“Follow peace with all men”
Are you at peace with all men? Sure, there are some that are not at peace with you, but that is because they do not know their position and they do not have control of their soul (feelings and emotions).
No peace = Under control of Satan
Peace = Under the operation of God
Are you holy? In your position as a Son of God, you are holy!
“without which, no man shall see the Lord”
If you have taken a hold of your Position as a Son of God, you are everything that Christ is.
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God”
“Fail” in the Greek is 5302 ὑστερέω (fall back (i. e. away) from. Have you fallen back from the Grace of God? He didn’t move…You did. The grace is still there.
“lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.”
For example: The things of this world. Where do roots come from? Seeds right? Yes. Who plants seeds? We do. Are you planting good seeds or bad seeds?
Bitter people have had something take place in their life that planted the seed of bitterness and it has taken root over their lives.
It is very sad to see good people go through this. But, we are to love them anyway. Do we have to tolerate their ignorance? Of course not. Knowing the true meaning of love and knowing The True Love is really a mystery in the bible. But once you come to the knowledge that the ignorance that has taken control of them is not them, but is a evil spirit controlling them is when you can truly love them. All we can do is pray for them.
Galatians 5:4 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
“Christ is become of no effect unto you”
What is the effect of Christ in your life?
Are you justified? Are you sanctified? Are you righteousness? Are you Holy?
Not knowing your position in Christ is just like being on a job for 20 years and never knowing what position you hold. Not knowing the things you have power over. Not knowing where you stand. Not knowing who you truly are.
“whosoever of you are justified by the law”
Are you in law or grace? If you are still living in condemnation of the law, then Christ is of none effect to you.
Quit worrying about what you can do and focus on what Christ has already done for you.
What makes a person self righteousness? Pride. These type of people are ignorant to the things of God….spiritual things.
“ye have fallen from grace.”
You have fallen from grace….grace never moved. You removed yourself from it. Your will…your soul..removed from it. God didn’t do it…you chose too.
Philippians 3:9 9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Get yourself out of it and let Christ work through you.
“Faith of Christ”
First off, faith is not earned. Faith is given as a measure. Accepting what has been done for you with that little measure of faith. Then you are connecting your mustard seed of faith to THE Faith which is Christ and you have all the faith you will ever need. Then, through out your life you are moving from faith to faith…event to event. When we go through something our faith in Christ gets stronger and stronger. Like, David… ” 1 Sam 17:37David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.” When Satan attacks you, turn straight to God and expect him deliver you from them. Heb 11:1 says “1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Of things hoped for in the greek is 1679 elpizó: to expect. What do you expect from God? Faith is the substance of things expected.
8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.9No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Are you walking in holiness?
You will encounter no bad things on this path of Holiness because it is not there…not allowed.
How do you walk in holiness?
2 Peter 1:1-9 1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
So, how do you walk in holiness? Peter just told you. You are capable to walk through hell, through the knowledge of Christ, on the path of holiness that has been given to you. Receive the great and precious promises that has been freely given.
Your ability will always fail you. But, through Christ you can do all things!
I will end this blog with these few scriptures. I pray that you seek knowledge in your walk. Life is so much more than salvation. Find your position as a Son of God. You are an heir. Take what has been given to you through the deaths and Live life abundantly in Christ!

4Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
