Brayden has been a real trooper through this whole experience. He has been stuck more times in the last 3 weeks than I have my whole life.He is the strongest kid I know. Every day seems to get better and better physical wise with him but mentally he is fed up with this place.
One thing I have learned is if you want to get something done…Got to the right place to begin with. This hospital has been awesome through this whole ordeal. The nurses are angels..really. They deal with so much stuff up here it is unreal. Every time they enter into a room, they have a huge smile on there face. It really takes a special person to work with children. Last night as I laid in bed with Brayden, I listen to babies cry. It really softens my heart. The nurses can only do so much. Where are their Mommies at?! When the nurse came in to give Brayden is I.V medicine I say, “Poor Babies…crying.” She says, “I’m sorry about that.” As if it was her baby crying and she has to let it cry because she has work to do. Once she finishes her round she will go back to that baby and rock it back to sleep. A pediatric nurses job is never over. Will that baby ever know who was really there for it when it cried at it’s darkest time? Probably not.
Being up here really makes me want to do something. Become a volunteer, makes stuff and bring to the kids, Something! We have been here one week today and I have seen some pretty profound things. I want to be a part of this.
This Mothers Day was by far the best mothers day a Mom could ask for.
My Father in Heaven is in control and He is for us so nothing can be against us. We know the Will of the Father is not this sickness and disease. We know all this comes from satan. We know who we are and we know how to speak against these things that comes against us. When you set out to follow Christ the enemy will do everything possible to not allow that. It is up to your freewill to keep in the direction of the Light or step off into the dark road. We have and always will choose Light.
“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower.
Just like I told my best friend today on her blog..”ALL things work out for good to those who trust in the Lord. That’s my rock. Without that rock, I’d just be sinking in the mud.”
Great is thy faithfulness!!
Here is a few pictures of a Typical Day with Brayden…

Thanks for the update…and the photos…what a place with all those diversions for the kids. Doesn’t make it a better place, medically, but it does help the time go by for the kids.
Am happy that the nurses are good and kind…you are right…it does take a special kind of nurse to work in Peds. They are angels for sure.
Will keep you all in my thoughts and in my prayers
Peace and love,
