It simply amazes me…

This morning I sit, waiting patiently on a women to respond to a post I commented on. It amazes me how much people have no idea. It’s like people are so caught up in this American culture that they try to wrap their “Religious belief” around it as well. Sure, everyone knows about Jesus and the “gospels” but what some do not understand is that the way things were then and the way things are now are WAYYY different. The language was different. Words that once meant one thing, mean something totally different now.

Examples with words today..

Java- was coffee now is programming
Log- piece of wood becomes to log onto computer
Apple- fruit becomes major computer player

These are just a few simple ones but I hope you get my point. Anyway, commonsense should tell you that the Bible was NOT written in English, Spanish, French, etc. The New Testament was Greek and The Old testament was Hebrew. So why do so many people try to read it from a American, French, etc, view point? You can’t if you want true revelation, other wise it is simply reading a story. I’m sure you could come up with a great American twisted story for your bible study class but is it the real biblical truth?

Maybe I am a different type of person. I like to know the truth and If I can not get it, then I will search it out for myself. Everyone should be like this. Sitting in a pew every Sunday and listening to someones opinion on the bible and it’s contents is a waste of time, in my opinion. I want to learn something. Don’t turn to your religion for your truth. Seek it.

Sometimes it takes more than the Bible to search out truth. Just like when I was studying my last post about Jesus being born in September not December. You could not of known about the Priestly division if you didn’t search in other places. (Mishnah (the Jewish commentary on the Torah) to be exact, or the Strong’s Concordance)

All in all, what you read is not always what you get. Dig a little. Study. Seek knowledge.

Colossians 3 >>

1 If ye then be risen with Christ seek those things which are above where Christ sitteth __ on the right hand of God 2 Set your affection on things above not on things on the earth 3 For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God 4 When Christ who is our life shall appear then shall ye also appear with him in glory

  1. For me religion are a bad thing…. and whatever God one choice to believe in are to me of little importance as in my view the goodness of a person taken from within the self is what really mean something in the end….Religion are just a cause of War and no matter what group or creed it is that no one ever agree with each other, And if a God pure and made with love surely this God would agree with me on that the only true love can come from within our own hearts and no words can learn you that ever…..plus in my opinion most people in a Religion expect something in return in the after…..but then their love ain’t pure as love should always come without expectation and love is given just as hate are given by our own self and that is in my opinion the ultimate truth and I have always hated when poeple use the classic words of The Devil Made Me Do It or That We Do It In The Name Of God…..Seriously…The Devil Or The God have nothing to do with what we ourselves do…and I’ll guess that in the end it will show who the righteous ones and who is not and so let it be done 🙂

    Just my take on it.

    Have a very nice day.

    1. Yes. We have a freewill. Religion is a bad thing. It separates and causes division. If it’s not of love then it can’t be of God. Religion is of Man. Sad really. “but then their love ain’t pure as love should always come without expectation and love is given just as hate are given by our own self”, Love this! So much truth. Thanks for your take Stefan 🙂 You have a great day also.
