Compulsive Email checker!

Day 5. Check your email once a day, at most. Compulsive email checking is an epidemic. Quit cold turkey.

“It is true, ya know. Checking your e-mail more than twice a day is OCE. (Over Compulsive Email-er) Which I have to say that I am guilty as charged. I check my email or emails numerous times a day. Which normally I come to find out that there isn’t anything important. But, there could be this one time, just one time, where I might get something important. Right?! Sounds good. 🙂 I wish I could have all my emails go to just one email place. I haven’t figured that out yet. Any suggestions? I have Google email, and multiple yahoo mail addresses.”

  1. Oh no, Am I going to need to take a pill for this? I work in ministry, I organize and encourage over 300 volunteers. I live by the email…I am doomed!

  2. I keep my (main) email open in one of the many tabs on my browser. When anything is new, it has a number in parentheses, so I only click it when someone is there. All the times I glance at my tabs isn’t “checking” it. And every time I do “check” it (read: click it), it’s worth it, because something is always there. That’s my story, and I’m stickin’ to it! 🙂

  3. I check it once an hour at least, usually! I’m an addict. And also there is nothing important or even interesting…. I would say I may try to check it once a day but I know it’s not doable 🙂
